Oliver Kwek, currently a graduate of Temasek Junior College, Singapore. Indeed, I'm still a young lad who will continue to face greater life challenges ahead of me but hey, my life so far aint' that boring you know. While my life may not be as interesting as yours or I may not be as sociable as you do, I'm thankful for what i have, who I know and who I am. To me, a fantastic blog is something which I can bring some inspirations home or perhaps even some lessons about life that we should really acknowledge. A blogskin is merely a skin, literally. What's more important is the soul or the points that the blog has to bring across. It's meaningless to blog if you don't keep them eventually, cause a blog may be a memoir of your life, or a memory down the lane, as cliche as it sounds huh.

Uncle O' dropped by @12:49 AM

Things went smooth for me today. I was practically jumping from place to place the whole day. Albeit it was tiring, I think the day ended with a big hit. First item of the day was heading down to NUS to pay for my orientation week fees together with Saiful. I was told that the briefing may take around 1-2 hours as stated in the email. Reality: The briefing was actually very short and ended in like 1h, mainly 50 mins was due to waiting and some technical errors that the organisers faced. I signed up for the Frank OCBC card as they had a talk together with the camp briefing. Initially I was quite turned off by it as I didn't see the need to have another one. After much "psycho" by the staff, turning on my 'typical Singaporean' mode for free stuff, I decided to sign up.Go ahead and judge me, it's okay.

Next, I headed down to Kembangan for my weekly tuition. Nothing much and I shan't bore you with those details.

Moving on, I went down to Bedok to collect my altered pants which I sent yesterday. With the auntie's magical fingers, my regular baggy formal pants evolved into a piece of tapered slim fit pants. I've been tere quite a few times and I must say her alteration skills are superb, never disappointed me before. So for now, I have 2 pieces of decent formal pants which I can wear next time for attending formal events.
[Background info: These 2 pieces of pants were with me since 2011 during my internship. It would be a waste to just leave it hanging at home and another waste to buy new pieces. So everyone here's a piece of advice: the same clothing can be revived or even transformed to give a brand new look!]

I realised that I have another pair of pants which I bought at Uniqlo. An on-sale item which I bought at 29.90 (or 19.90, can't remember) and sent for alteration too. So to sum up, I have 3 pairs of formal pants which I can wear in the future!

After that, I discovered that I only had like 3 dress shirts. Maybe it's time to go G2000 at Changi City Point to grab some on-sale items!

Back to the highlights of the day, I also managed to get my stuff photocopied on time, and it wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be, so that's something to rejoice also!

Finale of the day: RUN. It's been totally a while since I last ran. 16th June. I guess the haze had put my training schedule to a stop. Well, the weather's getting much better now so it's time to get the momentum starting! Plus, I'll be running another race again on 18th aug or so, thus better train for my next 10km before my pace and stamina deteriorates any further. Speaking of which, to acclimatise myself since I haven't run for 3 weeks, I just decided to run, without any intended route so as to speak.

It was definitely a new feeling when you just run, without any thoughts on the overall route. It was more like spur of the moment and then decided where I wanted to run to. Pretty interesting as I ran around my neighbourhood area which I have not really explored. Plus, there's recently some new renovations to the park and the neighbourhood. Thus, it was definitely refreshing and not boring at all. Think I managed to run around half an hour or so. Hopefully with that, it would be a good starting point to bring my stamina back to where it was and even better!

So the next time you get bored with all the running, why not just let your hair down and just run wild? Follow your instincts and your heart, you never know what to expect!
