Oliver Kwek, currently a graduate of Temasek Junior College, Singapore. Indeed, I'm still a young lad who will continue to face greater life challenges ahead of me but hey, my life so far aint' that boring you know. While my life may not be as interesting as yours or I may not be as sociable as you do, I'm thankful for what i have, who I know and who I am. To me, a fantastic blog is something which I can bring some inspirations home or perhaps even some lessons about life that we should really acknowledge. A blogskin is merely a skin, literally. What's more important is the soul or the points that the blog has to bring across. It's meaningless to blog if you don't keep them eventually, cause a blog may be a memoir of your life, or a memory down the lane, as cliche as it sounds huh.

Giving the Best.

Uncle O' dropped by @3:01 PM

211212 - A date which I would personally remember very well in the future to come.

It's finally the day of graduation parade of my Specialist Cadets. The past 2 days had been consistent parade rehearsals and drills of my cadets. Going down to Leader's Square as a trainer has been a very rewarding experience. First was to see all my cadets back at PLC and preparing to POP! Second was that my contingent was one of the best drill contingents on the parade square. From fundamental drills to advanced drills in the contingent, I would say that they have been a bunch of awesome cadets that I'm very proud of. Third, the weather was all good, raining before the parade and stopped just appropriately during the march-in. Last, was that my cadets finally POPed from the Leaders Square, officially a 3rd Sergeant =).

Watching them at the grandstand from the march-in as Specialist Cadets to the march-off as Specialists and finally the re-entry, I was very proud of their achievements. The past 2 days of training with them was all worth it and I'm glad that they did their best for this graduation. This would probably be their most glorious moment of their NS journey.

Towards 13/12 Spec Course, I dare to say that I have really gave my all for this course. From the preparations to the running of the course, be it the administrative or logistical aspect of this course and finally knowing each and every one of them in the course, the time spent and effort put in to run this course has been huge. I can touch my heart and account to myself that I have once again completed another course. I feel good to have been their instructor. I really thank them for this period of time, allowing me to mould them as better future commanders and at the same time learn from them to improve myself as a leader.  With their co-operation and effort, I am glad that this course ended with a bang.

Nonetheless, I am glad that for this course, my efforts were appreciated and understood by my cadets. This is definitely an improvement for me from the last course and I'm really glad. The sense of satisfaction and achievement that you get when a course finally ends with a big bang and knowing that all your effort hadn't gone to a waste, is the best feeling out of description. Even as I'm typing this post, thinking about my 13/12 cadets makes me smile and comforting to have played a part of their lives. I may not be significant as a their instructor in the course but I am really glad that I got to know each and every one of them in this course. To my 13/12 cadets, all the best in your future!
