Uncle O' dropped by @12:40 AM
September 2010:16. Out to Cycling after Prelims - 24th September 2010The title says it all. Its been a while since I cycled in April 2010. The main reason I'm recounting on this event is because I think it the first time that I cycled with other 13 people at the same time. 14 out of 24 people in CG12/09 came to cycle man! While we wanted to cycle from ECP all the way to Changi, we didn't managed to complete main due to the fact that some of us were too slow and the waiting time for each other were too long resulting in us being unable to reach there in time. Nevertheless, it is awesome overall being able to have time with hang out with classmates, like you know, chill and relax especially after exams. How great is that man.
October 2010:17. JC2 Farewell Concert 2010 - 25th October 2010This is the day I graduated from TJC. All in all, I feel fortunate to have been accepted into TJC and I had an experience which is one of a kind. Being in TJC has taught me a vast knowledge which I have never been exposed to and I'm grateful for this. It was nice to watch the varied performances by the tutors although my class got separated during the performance at the Auditorium. Someday, I shall have a post dedicated to TJC. It would unfair to just write about my life in TJC in just one paragraph.
December 2010:18. Standard Chartered Marathon 2010 - 4th December 2010 to 5th December 2010Once again, my 3rd consecutive year in volunteering at Standard Chartered Marathon. This time round, the experience is totally different since I helped out at the race day and the event venue before the race day rather than the Race Entry Pack Collection.
Volunteering at 4th December 2010 required my friends and I to help relay boxes of runner's tee to a tent and at the same, my converse sneakers got soiled terribly but the mud at the Padang. Gosh, got drenched in the morning at the same time and my shoes were soiled. Nevertheless, my shoes are now washed and back to shape, although it doesn't look as new as before. Plus, I bought a polo tee from G2000 @ 18 bucks haha.
I had to report to F1 Pit with my friends at 00:00 to report for another volunteer work as Route Marshall for the race day. Ate food, sat under the dark blue sky, playing taboo with my friends till we were deployed. Eventually, my friends and I became Key Junction Crew instead and I only knew that from another volunteer only when it was almost noon. It's nice to stand along the road like no one's business and I managed to last throughout the night without feeling sleepy even though I slept only like 1 hour on 4th December. While I was supposed to cheer for the runners, I blew the whistle and flew the red flag they gave us instead since it was kinda of embarrassing to say things like "way to go!", "come on! you can do it!" which gives people the creeps. Being a key junction crew was nice because at the start, you see the full marathon runners passing by and in the later morning, the route for the 10km run, half and full marathon are merged together, meaning that we would expect to see everyone coming back. That's good but what is bad is that we have to wait for the last person to go past my station before we can end our job. As such, I only ended my work at around 1pm plus. By the end of the day, it was 100% fatigue. All in all, the whole experience is awesome though it was very tiring.
19. Universal Studios Singapore (USS) & MOE Interview - 7th December 2010My first time @ USS and it's 100% awesomeness! Tried on the different thrilling rides and I must say that it is like 'shiok"! Well, it was a great decision to have skipped Prom Night and gone for this instead! You should try it someday yourself and I shan't be spoil your 1st experience for you.
I signed up to be a teaching intern at MOE and I passed my interview! Currently, I'm posted to Coral Secondary School together with John. Plus, I have lost touch with my O' level Chemistry and Lower Sec Science (LSS), so I need to read up quickly since I am starting in Jan 10 2011. More updates soon!
20. 4e1 Gathering 2010 - 9th December 2010
Yes, our annual gathering with the usual people and of course, we definitely enjoyed our Mahjong Session @ Jesslyn's house, the highlight of the day! =) Oh and I won 3 rounds! =)
21. Bowling - 16th December 2010My 1st bowling session of the year after I learnt how to bowl during last year's elective programme as part of the Sports Carnival at TJC. God, I totally suck at bowling now since many of the throw were into the gutter.
22. Christmas Countdown 2010 - 24th December 2010This year's Christmas countdown is awesome! It has been quite long since I went out on Christmas's Eve and I totally enjoyed it! Plus, it's the 1st time I played poker and bridge and Chinese chess along some walkway at ECP. Unique? Haha. My second time at Fish&C0. and I totally liked it! No more Coriander Spaghetti like the 1st time there haha, to think I can still remember its name.
Had fun when we celebrating Zong Yang's birthday in advance at Fish&Co. plus all the pranks on zong yang that day, although I didn't managed to see the moment that Zong Yang got thrown into the water.
The last thing was the exchange of presents, or rather a lucky draw I would say. I gave a Donald Duck Bolster and I received a Monopoly Deal, though I have one at home already. Nevertheless, it is still something that is mine, haha.
23. Stayover at Cousin's House and A trip to the Dog Farm - 21st December 2010 to 23rd December 2010As usual, I went over my cousin's house to stay. We went swimming but the sad thing was that 18 years old and above had to pay the adult fee and I am only 18 years old for like 2 months only??? If only I had came earlier to swim. Plus I ate the Ramly Burger at the Pasar Malam near Tampines MRT Station, how cool is that.
I went to a dog farm during one of these days and it's awesome to been in contact with like 50+ dogs, those in cages and those free-roaming ones. I managed to see a 3-day old puppy with my very own eyes and I feel so lucky because one of aunties working there told me that it's very rare to see newborn puppies, especially those which are only a few days old.
I had a very special experience with dogs this time round! I had the opportunity to help a puppy dry itself after bathing, combing its hair and hugging it around like its mine. Though its just a size of a hand, it is priced at around $2000. I carried one which was sold at $2800, how fortunate am I. =D
In addition, I felt like I was working in a place selling dogs because I helped my cousin to put the display dogs into the cages where customers could view, something like a gallery. Chiwawa, maltese, yogey, poodle, sausage dogs, you name it, the farm has it. Alright, I'm just exaggerating.
Lastly, with the Maltese named 吉祥 at my aunt's house, I definitely enjoyed spending time with it since it looked like it liked me a lot. But the other dogs like Xavier is still cute, though it gain much more weight for me to carry now.
24. An Outing to the Southern Ridges - 29th December 2010The 2nd last event for the year 2010 in my life and it is 100% nice excursion out there to nature!
Alright, I think I'll dedicate one post to it soon so I'll keep you inform of it the next time?
25. The New Year Countdown - 31st December 2010My first ever countdown with friends in my life! Never experienced it before and I'm surely looking forward to it later! I'll update you guys about this soon k?
All in all, 2010 has been a very very special year to me and perhaps to you too. I have enjoyed living through 2010, I hope you did too! All the best for the new year ahead! Happy New Year!
